Eva's class has been studying the lifecycle of butterfly. They had a container containing many chrysalis in the classroom and recently the butterflies began emerging! This morning was the official "release date"! I was excited to join Eva's class and photograph the special moment....
Mrs. Bickel gave each child a butterfly to hold and say goodbye to. Some butterflies stuck around awhile and some quickly flew away!
Eva saying goodbye to her butterfly...
The kiddos excitment was contagious! My favorite part was when a butterfly would fly away and they would all run after it telling it GOODBYE!!
"Happiness is a butterfly, which when pursued, is always just beyond your grasp, but which, when you sit down quietly may alight upon you."
--Nathaniel Hawthorne

How exciting to learn and enjoy nature. You also are a very special "butterfly", growing and testing your wings each day!
We love it that your mommie does such a good job posting so we can keep up on those "special" times of yours that we are not aware of.
Love you bunches!
