1. I have tried to really enjoy this pregnancy because, chances are, it will be my last. Matt and I kick around the idea of a fourth child...but if we do that we will probably adopt from a different country. This is probably the last time I'll feel another life moving and growing inside me.
2. That being said, I'm still not a girl that looooooooves being pregnant like some women do. I try my best to embrace it, but I'm ready to meet this little guy. I'm also ready to take a bath...have a glass of red wine or a martini...exercise again...take long walks with my family....etc.
3. I have a new respect for people that are on bedrest for a long time. I'm only on partial bedrest, and it can be hard to just SIT all day (I know, I know...a lot of people tell me they WISH they could do that, but it's different when you are told you HAVE to do that)!
4. Jaden has truly enjoyed this pregnancy....Eva has not. Jaden loves to feel my tummy and watch his little brother kick. He'll snuggle up to me and talk to my tummy. Eva, on the other hand, has quite a bit of anxiety about the whole thing. She worries about me and she worries about the baby. Poor girl will be very happy when this baby is OUT of Mommy's tummy and safely in our arms.
5. I think Jaden would like it if I was on bedrest for good. Both of our children are homebodies. They don't love going out, but are much more content being home. Eva is at school during the day, but Jaden and I hang out in our jammies until late afternoon. We snuggle in bed, play games in bed, read books in bed, and occasionally watch movies. He LOVES it. When we get up in the morning he sometimes asks how soon Daddy and Eva are leaving so we can go snuggle. This bedrest thing is RIGHT up his alley!
6. I mentioned it before, but I married an amazing guy. I can't say enough about how my husband has stepped up to the plate since what I can do is so limited. That being said, I sometimes get a kick out of some of his comments and observations. He's floored by the amount of laundry we have....he gets frustrated when the children don't eat what has been served for dinner...he is amazed at how quickly the house gets cluttered and needs to be picked back up...etc. These are things that I dealt with on a daily basis and would often get frustrated with (he had more limited exposure to so it didn't bother him). Now he gets it. I love that...and it makes me appreciate him even more.
7. I'm not dreading the sleepless nights with this little one. Again, maybe because he's my last newborn or maybe because since he's my 3rd I know they are short lived. Either way, I'm looking forward to some serious snuggle time.
8. I have a strong distaste for maternity clothing. I always have, but this pregnancy took it to a new level. In fact, most of the clothing I have worn has NOT been maternity. Thank goodness for long shirts, tunics, leggings, and jeggings.
9. Due to my placenta previa I have to take special precautions. The past few weeks if I go anywhere (grocery store, out for lunch, etc.) I feel more comfortable if I have another adult with me in case anything were to happen. If Matt isn't home my mom or sister gladly step in. So thankful for that....and I've affectionately started calling them my "babysitters". Ha!
10. In all we are ready for this little guy. My hospital bags are packed. The house is pretty much ready. The camera and video camera are set to go. Before we know it we'll be bringing home our little munchkin!
(a little peek at some of the clothes I'm taking to the hospital for him)

It's seemed to go so fast - it's hard to believe in a week - he'll be here! I can't wait to meet him too. You're such an amazing mom, you've been a great mom to this little guy already! Love you!
